Former Giants quarterback Jared Lorenzen has died at the age of 38, after battling a myriad health issues.
Lorenzen’s death comes following his hospitalization since Friday due to heart issues and a kidney infection.
ESPN’s Jeremy Schaap first reported the news of Lorenzen’s passing, posting an update from the former NFL and University of Kentucky quarterback on Wednesday

Lorenzen’s family released a statement shortly after his passing, thanking well-wishers for their support and prayers over the past six days.
