Every Yankee fan has spent the season's first month anxious for their cadre of big bats to return.
Turns out, we may have been too eager to welcome one of them back.
Miguel Andujar, once thought to be lost for the season, is in the midst of an incredibly tough situation at the moment. Now ?3-for-32 since being promoted from his rehab stint, Andujar is still without a single "barreled ball" on the campaign. He's pressing, failing to hit the ball hard, and has been mainly relegated to DH status thanks to the absurdly clutch (and superior-fielding) Gio Urshela.
So what can the Yankees do? With the team ready to welcome Aaron Hicks back on Monday, they can demote Andujar for a Chad Green-esque reset instead of sending the valuable Thairo Estrada and Mike Tauchman down to the minors.
