Toronto Blue Jays manager offers reminder about Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

Larry Brown Sports

Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s debut for the Toronto Blue Jays may prove to be the most anticipated one of the season, but the rookie hasn’t really taken the league by storm upon arriving in the majors.

In his first ten games as an MLB player, Guerrero has hit just .162 with only one extra base hit. That, along with considerations over the oblique that led to a late start to his season, prompted Toronto to give him a day off Wednesday, with manager Charlie Montoyo gently reminding everyone that the highly-touted rookie is only 20 years old.
