The walking wounded are getting one significant reinforcement back.
Miguel Andujar, the team’s lethal-hitting third baseman who was an AL Rookie of the Year runner-up last year, will be activated on Saturday after being out since Mar. 31 with a tear in the labrum of his right shoulder, manager Aaron Boone said Friday before the Yankees opened a three-game series in The Bronx against the Twins.
“He’s ready to go and I plan on him being on the team again tomorrow,” Boone said. “We feel comfortable he’s ready to go from a defensive standpoint.”
