Khris Davis doesn’t beat around the bush when asked about his recent funk, which included a four strikeout night Friday, the dreaded Golden Sombrero.
“I feel like s-,” Davis said before the A’s game against the Blue Jays on Saturday.
He’s batting .129 with no extra base hits, two RBIs, and 13 strikeouts over his past nine games. What’s going on? “I wish I knew,” Oakland’s DH said. “My swing just feels s-ty. I’ll try to ride it out and hope good things come quickly.”
Davis, like most sluggers, is a little on the streaky side. Homers come in bunches. So his current funk, in which he’s hitless in his past 10 plate appearances, isn’t a major concern.
