Dabo Swinney defends difficulty of Clemson’s schedule

The Spun

On Wednesday, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney went to the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta to receive the MacArthur Trophy for the Tigers’ national title win over Alabama.

While there, Swinney was asked by a local South Carolina reporter about Clemson’s schedule.

The reporter asked Swinney about the comparative schedules between Clemson and rival South Carolina. The Gamecocks feature the most-difficult schedule in college football this season, per ESPN.

In asking his question, the reporter brought up the “lack of competition in the ACC.”
