Carolina Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour said Wednesday he's unsure if rookie Andrei Svechnikov will be able to play in Game 7 against the Washington Capitals.
Brind'Amour added that forward Micheal Ferland is doubtful to dress as he continues to deal with an upper-body injury. Jordan Martinook, who missed Game 5 with a lower-body injury, will be a game-time decision.
Svechnikov has been sidelined since Game 3, when he was placed in the concussion protocol after a fight with Alex Ovechkin. He returned to practice on Thursday, sporting a full cage, but has still not been cleared for game action.
