Cristiano Ronaldo is eyeing up a Juventus exit two years before the end of his contract, according to reports in Italy.

Both La Repubblica and Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Ronaldo was left furious by the manner of Juve's Champions League quarter-final exit at the hands of Ajax, a result which ensures that he won't be taking part in the last four of the competition for the first time since the 2019/10 campaign.

Gazzetta say that there was a "deafening silence" in the Juve camp after the defeat, which came about as the Amsterdam side came from a goal down in the second leg to win 2-1 on the night, securing a 3-2 aggregate success.

Having won the competition once with Manchester United and four times with Real Madrid , Ronaldo was seen as the man who would end Juve's long wait for Champions League glory when he joined in an £89million deal last summer.
