Redskins have ‘solid chance’ of trading for Josh Rosen

Larry Brown Sports

The Washington Redskins are among the teams that have been linked to Josh Rosen, and they appear to still be interested in the young quarterback despite the trade they made earlier this offseason.

Washington acquired Case Keenum in a trade with the Denver Broncos last month, and head coach Jay Gruden has repeatedly expressed confidence in Colt McCoy. Alex Smith is also still on the roster, though he is expected to miss the entire 2019 season after suffering a gruesome leg injury last year. Despite all that, ESPN’s John Keim feels there is still a “solid chance” the Redskins end up working out a trade for Rosen.

Gruden said over the weekend that Washington is only interested in drafting a quarterback who could start immediately, because the goal for the team is to win now and not rebuild.
