Avalanche’s Gabriel Landeskog could play Friday vs. Coyotes

Sportsnet

Gabriel Landeskog wore a regular contact jersey at Colorado Avalanche practice on Thursday for the first time since suffering an upper-body injury on March 7 against Dallas.

Avs head coach Jared Bednar says Landeskog is “a possibility for tomorrow,” a game against the Arizona Coyotes.

Landeskog’s injury, which he suffered after a collision with Stars goaltender Ben Bishop, was projected to keep the Avalanche captain out of the lineup for four to six weeks. But after missing just nine games, Landeskog may provide Colorado’s lineup with a much-needed boost sooner than expected.
