Senators center Ryan Dzingel could be on the move soon.
Trade talks for the 26-year-old are gaining traction, according to Hockey Night in Canada. Other teams believe Ottawa is getting closer to making a decision.
Dzingel has 22 goals and 22 assists (the 44 points are a career high) in 57 games this season. His two-year, $3.6 million contract is up at the end of the year, so he would be a rental for any team acquiring him via trade.
The center sat out games Thursday against the Devils and Friday against the Blue Jackets to avoid injury before Monday's trade deadline.
