Missouri's Barry Odom offered his fellow SEC football coaches a little fodder for lunchtime small talk Wednesday at their annual meeting.
Odom on Tuesday said his 19 seniors are being "bombarded non-stop" by conference coaches trying to lure them from a Mizzou program that is appealing a bowl ban next season tied to NCAA infractions by a former academic adviser, CBSSports.com reported.
Speaking at a booster event in Kansas City, Odom singled out Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt's program, in particular, for contacting Missouri players.
"Everybody is going to have a bad day," Odom said, expressing frustration over having to re-recruit his own players. "You combine that with somebody that — who'd we beat 51-17 this year? Tennessee? Yeah, those guys. They are non-stop reaching out daily [saying], 'Hey, come here.' The grass is not always greener somewhere else."
