Astros’ Alex Bregman on cover of RBI Baseball video game

Houston Chronicle

The ascension of the Astros' Alex Bregman into a star continued Saturday at Astros FanFest when he was revealed to be the cover athlete of the RBI Baseball 19 video game.

Bregman had a breakout season last year, finishing fifth in the American League MVP voting and was named MVP of the All-Star Game in his first appearance.

Bregman was the first player in major league history to hit 50 doubles and 30 home runs while playing a majority of his games at third base. He joined Albert Pujols, Alex Rodriguez and Lou Gehrig as the only major leaguers to post seasons of at least 50 doubles and 30 home runs prior to turning 25.
