The Cubs bolstered their bullpen on Thursday, agreeing to terms with free-agent reliever Brad Brach, according to multiple reports. The deal is expected to be finalized after his physical.
ESPN’s Jeff Passan reported it’s a one-year contract worth $3 million.
Brach would be the latest addition to the Cubs this offseason which has been relatively quiet. The Cubs added infielder Daniel Descalso, rehabbing right-hander Kendall Graveman and left-hander Kyle Ryan along with a few other players who were signed to minor-league deals.
