Chris Mortensen of ESPN, citing a source close to the negotiations, reports that the Ravens and HC John Harbaugh have reached an agreement in principle on a contract extension.
Recent reports had said that the two parties were progressing toward an agreement on a long-term extension and were encouraged by where things stood, so it’s not all that surprising that they were able to reach an agreement to ensure Harbaugh remains in Baltimore for the foreseeable future.
There was some early buzz that the Ravens and Harbaugh were likely to part ways after the 2018 season. However, it became clear that Harbaugh would have been the No. 1 coaching candidate had he become available.
