Oklahoma will grant QB Austin Kendall’s transfer to West Virginia, report says

Sporting News

As soon as Austin Kendall heard Alabama transfer QB Jalen Hurts was visiting Oklahoma as a possible new destination to play, the Sooners QB entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal to explore his options.

Fellow Big 12 school West Virginia was one of the options and since Kendall would be transferring as a graduate, he could be eligible immediately to play for the Mountaineers in 2019.

Initially, Oklahoma attempted to block Kendall’s eligibility to immediately play, according to ESPN, which cited unidentified Big 12 sources.

But, OU has decided to grant Kendall’s transfer, according to USA Today.
