Spurs become first to score 150+ since Suns in 2010

Clutch Points

The San Antonio Spurs were not supposed to play against the Oklahoma City Thunder as menacingly good as they did Thursday night. After all, they were coming off a 96-86 road loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. But they did – and they even have over 150 points to show as evidence.

The Spurs bounced back from their loss in Memphis by taking down the Thunder to the tune of a 154-147 score, thus becoming the first team since the Phoenix Sunsin 2010 to breach the 150-point mark in a game, per ClutchPoints.

Over a third of San Antonio’s points came from the hot hands of LaMarcus Aldridge, who played like a man possessed. Aldridge feasted on the Thunder’s interior defense, finishing the game with 56 points on 20-for-33 shooting from the field to go with nine rebounds, four assists, and four blocks in 49 minutes of court duty.
