Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy ‘slaps £225m price tag on Christian Eriksen amid interest from Real Madrid’

Daily Mail

Tottenham chief Daniel Levy has told Real Madrid they can have Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen, provided they're willing to stump up £225million.

Eriksen will be out of contract in 2020, with Spurs considering letting his contract run down as talks over a new deal continue.

The Denmark international is attracting interest from Madrid, who are looking for a long-term replacement for Luka Modric.

But Spanish paper Marca claim they were told by Levy two months ago that they would need to pay a world-record transfer fee to land their man.

It's claimed Madrid would not be willing to match Levy's valuation and Bernabeu chiefs will be patient in their pursuit of the 26-year-old.
