As the Golden State Warriors prepare to host the New York Knicks at Oracle Arena, the incessant rumors of a potential move to the Big Apple by Kevin Duranthave flooded headlines around the league. As usual, Durant has grown tired of the attention this story has gotten over the course of the season, seemingly morphing into a different team with cap space as the schedule takes its course.
“I have no clue where that comes from,” said Durant, according to Logan Murdock of the San Jose Mercury News. “I just focus on playing ball every single day. I can’t control what people say about me or what they say about my future or what I should do.”
“I wish it was the other way where its just totally about the game but I get it… There’s more and more popularity around the league and the sexy thing is what happens in the summer more so than what happens around the season.”
Durant’s link to the Knicks comes by way of his longtime business partner, Rich Kleiman, who previously expressed ambitions of taking over the front office
