Kansas has a decision to make.
Jayhawks starting center Udoka Azubuike is out for the season with a hand injury, leaving a serious problem for coach Bill Self to solve. He could decide to have a new Jayhawk make his season debut soon.
Self told reporters Monday he has considered pulling the redshirt off of freshman four-star recruit Ochai Agbaji to fill the hole left by Azubuike.
"We haven't made that decision, but just to be real candid with you, Ochai and myself and mom and dad, we've all talked about it," Self said, via 247Sports. "And I haven't made a decision to do that whatsoever because if you bring him out, you're bringing him out to play him. And is he good enough? Absolutely. There's no question.
"But the reality of it is, it's a different pressure that he hasn't had a chance to experience any of it."
