Not long ago, it would have seemed like a bag of baseballs might have been an overpay for underperforming Yankees starting pitcher Sonny Gray.
But it sounds like the general manager Brian Cashman might get something useful for him — at least according to the latest rumor.
ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports that the Yankees were talking a three-way deal with the Braves and the Rangers that would have finally shuttled Gray out of the Bronx. Didn’t work out, though.
