Stanford tight end Kaden Smith announced Tuesday on Twitter that he'll turn pro.
“I have dreamed about playing in the NFL for as long as I can remember,” Smith said in the post. “And after much thought and discussion with my family, I have decided to forgo my senior year and declare for the 2019 NFL draft.
“I will miss my teammates and brothers next year, though we have created bonds and friendships that will continue strong and last a lifetime.”
The decision was not a surprise. Smith is expected to be a high draft pick after catching 47 passes for 635 yards and two touchdowns this season.
