UCF not ruling out McKenzie Milton playing in 2019

Sportsnaut

When UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton went down with a gruesome knee injury, many feared his football career would be in jeopardy. Now UCF isn’t ruling out the chance he could return to the field in 2019.

UCF quarterbacks coach Jeff Lebby spoke to reporters recently about Milton’s status and didn’t rule out the possibility that the star could return to the field at some point next season.

“Yeah, I think so,” Lebby said, via ESPN. “We’ll kind of wait and see. I think it’s day-to-day with him. That’s just the reality of it and working through it all with him and our medical staff and seeing where it goes.”

It’s almost unbelievable to think Milton could return to the game of football given the significant damage his knee suffered and his lengthy stay in the hospital. Fortunately, it seems he is progressing very nicely and his football career is not over.

He’s set to undergo his fifth surgery later in January, and his mother recently provided an update on Twitter following his latest procedure.
