The LSU football team will be without one more defensive back for the 2019 PlayStation Fiesta Bowl, as well as two other players.
On Thursday, the Tigers arrived in Arizona without cornerback Kelvin Joseph, offensive lineman Dare Rosenthal and outside linebacker Travez Moore, head coach Ed Orgeron confirmed in a meeting with the media upon arrival. Orgeron said Joseph and Rosenthal would be absent for a violation of team rules, while Moore is handing a "personal issue".
Rosenthal and Moore were not expected to be heavily leaned on in Tuesday's game against UCF, but Joseph's absence leaves the Tigers hurting even more at the cornerback position.
Starters Greedy Williams and Kristian Fulton are both out for the game, with Williams skipping the bowl to prepare for the NFL Draft, while Fulton underwent surgery after the regular season ended. Kary Vincent Jr. is the top candidate for playing time at the cornerback spot. Joseph was one of the first names up from there, but he won't suit up in the game.
