The Predators got a break coming out of the Christmas break with news that P.K. Subban and Viktor Arvidsson will likely be back in the lineup for Thursday night's game at Bridgestone Arena against the Dallas Stars.
Both players participated in the morning skate and both had the injured reserve tag removed from their names on the roster on the official team website and will likely be activated for the game.
"Feeling good this week and practicing a little bit, so it's been all good," Arvidsson said after the skate. "Everything feels great.
"It's always hard (to be out of the lineup). You want to be out there contributing your abilities. It's been hard but I've been trying to stay positive and be with the guys and just have a smile on my face."
Subban, an All-Star defenseman, has been out since Nov. 13 with an upper body injury. He began skating with the team again during its road trip last week. Nashville has gone 8-10-1 without him in the lineup.
