Knicks fans really, really want Kevin Durant to leave the Warriors and come to New York after this season. To no surprise, the team's front office feels the same way.
According to Frank Isola of The Athletic, Durant is the Knicks No. 1 target in free agency. The Warriors' star forward has a player option after this season and will almost certainly opt out.
“Everyone says Knicks,” said one prominent NBA player agent to Isola.
What Durant wants in free agency is something the Warriors can give much more of to Durant than the Knicks, and that's money. Durant says he wants to "make sure I get as much money as I can on my next deal" when he hits free agency.
