Buffalo Sabres announcer Rick Jeanneret is "resting and doing well" after he fell ill during the broadcast of Saturday's game and was taken to a local hospital.
Jeanneret stopped talking early in the third period of a 3-0 victory against the Anaheim Ducks and was seen being taken out of Buffalo's KeyBank Center on a stretcher, the Buffalo News reported.
The Sabres updated his condition Sunday morning, saying he "looks forward to being back in the booth after the break." The Sabres won't play again until Dec. 27.
Buffalo-based John Vogl, a reporter for The Athletic, tweeted Sunday morning that he had received a text from Jeanneret that read, "Still kicking."
