Former NFL running back Ray Rice says he would welcome the opportunity to speak with Kareem Hunt and believes the NFL is "trying to do the right thing" with how it handles cases of violence against women.
In an interview with CBS News that aired Tuesday morning, Rice said he has not spoken with Hunt but immediately saw the parallels in their situations. The former Baltimore Ravens running back was cut in 2014 after videos showed him punching his then-fiancée, Janay, and later dragging her unconscious body out of an elevator. Hunt was released by the Kansas City Chiefs last month after video emerged of him kicking a 19-year-old woman in an apartment building.
"I would love to help anyone that's willing to go the long haul," Rice said of a potential conversation with Hunt.
