Jabari Parker landed a very lucrative two-year contract when he signed with the Chicago Bulls during the offseason.
While he has now become a much larger piece of the of the puzzle for the franchise with the injury to Zach LaVine, Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that the former Duke Blue Devils standout has formally requested to be traded from his hometown team despite the fact that he refused to publicly acknowledge said request.
Parker was asked if he would demand a trade from the organization, and said, “That’s between me and him. Just don’t know.’’
A source, however, told the Sun-Times Saturday that Parker’s camp has indeed done so, hoping to work with the front office in an amicable effort to find Parker a better situation.
