Lonzo Ball captured his first triple-double of the season and the third of his career in the Los Angeles Lakers' 128-100 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday evening.
To do it alongside LeBron James – someone he patterns his game after – made the moment even more special.
"Ever since he got here, it's been a dream come true for me," Ball said, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin. "I watched him my whole life – he was my idol growing up. Then we both get a triple-double in the same game. I don't even know if I dreamed of that before. It was a good day today."
James and Ball became the first teammates since Vince Carter and Jason Kidd in 2007 to finish with triple-doubles in the same game.
After the contest, James spoke about the similarities he and Lonzo share.
