Giants eyeing Blue Jays’ Pillar

The Score

The San Francisco Giants are interested in trading for Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar, sources told Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area.

Pillar has a highlight reel of spectacular defensive plays on his resume and would fit in nicely in the spacious outfield at AT&T Park.

The 29-year-old slashed .252/.282/.426 with 15 home runs and a career-high 40 doubles in 142 games for the Blue Jays in 2018, which is mostly in line with his career numbers over parts of six big-league seasons. He's in his second year of arbitration eligibility and is scheduled to hit free agency in 2021.
