Dre’Mont Jones stated that he will, in fact, play in the Rose Bowl against No. 9 Washington, but after that, his college career will come to an end.
“I’m leaving,” Jones said.
The junior defensive end stated that he never thought about skipping the Rose Bowl and had no fear of any possible injury, saying that there’s always that chance of happening anyway.
“My thing with injuries is that they’re a part of the game,” Jones said. “You have to just play with it. As much as you think about it the more it can affect you.”
Jones had the option to declare for the NFL Draft after the 2017 season, but opted to return to Ohio State to improve his draft stock.
