The Texas A&M-Boston College men's basketball game set for Saturday afternoon has been canceled, and Aggies coach Billy Kennedy is "perplexed" by the reason.
According to the Houston Chronicle, Boston College's charter plane was scheduled to land in College Station on Friday night. But, the pilot "didn’t feel comfortable" landing in heavy rain, so the plane diverted elsewhere.
The Boston College coaching staff didn't want the team to land Saturday and play the game at 5 p.m. local time. Although A&M officials reportedly offered to move the game back a couple of hours, the Eagles requested the game be postponed to Sunday. The Aggies declined because of logistical issues.
