Jeff Brohm turns down Louisville job, will stay at Purdue

The pull of home was strong, but in the end, Jeff Brohm has decided to stay at Purdue, IndyStar columnist Gregg Doyel has confirmed.

Brohm has revitalized the Boilermakers program, guiding it to back-to-back bowl games after inheriting a program that won just nine combined games between 2013-2016. Purdue beat three ranked teams this season, including No. 2 Ohio State in October.

Brohm was his alma mater's top choice to replace Bobby Petrino, but the Cardinals will now have to look elsewhere.
